MEET LORENA
Lorena Sferlazza (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist and educator from Norwalk, CT, with 10+ years of teaching experience for a wide range of learners. She is passionate about helping her community connect more deeply and create beyond their own perceived limits.
Community
Lorena is an active member of the local community, teaching full-time at Norwalk High School while running CAWL. An Inaugural Resident Artist at The Norwalk Art Space, she supports their mission to provide free art classes for underโresourced youth. Lorena also offers free monthly therapeutic art classes for teens and adults at the Triangle Community Center, serving the LGBTQ community.

Lorenaโs artwork spans disciplines, evolving from classical figurative painting to contemporary practices that challenge perceptions of what art can be. She explores themes of empowerment and identity, inspired by her students and life experiences. For Lorena, making art is a way to understand, heal, spark conversation, and honor every phase of life.
